Editorial policy

Modern Leisure Journal aims to make its writing clear, accurate and enjoyable to read. We explain what a piece can support, check factual claims with care and keep commercial relationships visible.

Accuracy and context

Writers should use reliable, relevant sources for factual claims and take care with dates, definitions and historical context. When a subject is disputed or details are uncertain, the article should say so plainly rather than turn a guess into a firm statement. We do not present personal impressions as universal experience.

Independence

Editorial choices are made for reader interest and relevance, not as a condition of a commercial arrangement. Partners do not receive control over independent coverage. Any paid, gifted or otherwise arranged material is identified clearly so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work.

Corrections

If you spot a factual error or unclear passage, use the Contact page and identify the article and detail. We review correction requests, amend confirmed errors and make the change clear where appropriate. We do not quietly preserve a claim once we know it is wrong.

Images and other material

Illustrations may be commissioned, licensed, created in-house or generated with AI tools. Where an illustration is AI-generated, it is identified as such. Images are not evidence for a factual claim unless their source and context are established.
